Keith Anderson: Help find Keith – Donations accepted at US BANK Locations
Help Find Keith Anderson – Donations accepted at US Bank
02/01 Keith Anderson, a retired school counselor, has been missing since 1/06. The truck he drove away in was recovered but Anderson was nowhere to be found. Search and Rescue units have repeatedly combed the area where his truck was located but no other clues to his whereabouts have been found.
Anderson’s family is still actively trying to find him and is hoping somebody has information on where he may be. An account has been opened at US Bank, proceeds will be collected to raise money for a reward offered for information leading to bringing Anderson home. The Anderson family has plans at a later date to set up a scholarship fund. Kieth, or “Dr. Anderson”, as so many people know him, was a high school counselor at Anacortes High School. He is credited for helping hundreds of students succeed while in high school, and beyond. Many past students will tell you “If it wasn’t for Dr. Anderson, who knows where I’d be.” If you would like to help, donations for Keith Anderson may be made at any US Bank location or online at www.usbank.com . The account is set up under the name “Keith Anderson”.
If you have any information leading to the location of Keith Anderson, please call 911.

Does anyone know if there has been aerial search also. The amount of time that has gone by, if he hiked everyday for even a couple of hours he could be in Eastern Washington by now. Maybe some of the funds raised could go toward helicopters or more dogs, starting in different areas/hiking trails. God be with him and keep him safe. My thoughts are with the family!
I AM PRYING YOU FIND HIM SAFE AND SOUND, I DONT HAVE MUCH MONEY SO I CANT HELP BUT I E MAILED EVERYONE I KNEW HIS POSTER, AND IM PRAYING FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.
iF ANYONE CAN FORWARD MY CONTACT INFORMATION TO KEITH TO ASSIT IN HIS EFFORTS IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
Has LE thought about the possibility of someone harming Keith because of the ‘medication’ he was going to get from an ‘associate’. as previously stated in an article of today, 3-11-10? That would make sense to me, as this sort of drug is widely-wanted and some people would do ‘anything’ for that drug. LE should interview the ‘associate’ again and demand that he give up his associates and anyone else who might know that Keith was buying these meds from him. Makes sense to me. (I’m sure LE has already thought of this, but one never knows for sure.)
My thought and prayers are with this family. I hope they are able to find Keith and bring to justice whoever has harmed him.
The people of Deadliest Catch have had more than their fair share of heartache the past year or so, I pray this one has a happy ending. Has there been anything on the show or the station about the case??
There is a non profit organization in Houston, Tx that specializes in finding missing persons. The name is Texas Equuasearch and they have traveled the US and abroad to find missing persons. They were involved in the Natalie Holloway case in Aruba and many others. They are good at what they do. You should contact them as with all the info you have so far I think they could be of help
After living in Anchorage for a couple of years, I became quite fond of this show. I can remember the show when Chelsea died and they let her brother go home. I cried. I have also lost a child and I can relate to the pain that this father and family are going through. I couldn’t believe that this is the same family, now searching for their dad! I pray that you get the answers you need to have closure and know that your wounds will heal in time. God is so good.
I will be in your area this weekend and have a search dog if you’d like me to give him a try in the area where the truck was found let me know. I will need the location and a scent article if possible. It’s been a long time and I am sure others have covered the area well…but it’s worth a shot. I have met Jake and am a fan of the show. He deserves to find his dad. Please pass my contact info on to the family but do not publish this comment. Thank you.

From a Law Enforcement perspective, the investigators know a lot more than what they are saying. Many times LE won’t share much of what they have for fear of hindering their investigation. I am almost certain that the “acquaintance” is still a person of interest. If Mr. Anderson’s vehicle was found stuck in the mud, then there had to be footprints leading away from the vehicle. I also wonder if there was a secondary set of tire tracks at the scene as well. For someone to drive the vehicle 11 miles up a logging road, that is a pretty good indication that there was more than one person involved. No one is going to walk 11 miles on a logging road without having another vehicle there to pick them up. Also, if the terrain is as bad as has been reported, more than likely, the perp was trying to dispose of the truck off into that terrain in hopes of either no one finding the vehicle and/or destroying any physical evidence. There is no doubt that foul play was involved. I won’t be surprised if they eventually find enough evidence to charge the “acquaintance” with Mr. Anderson’s disappearance. Jake and his family need to keep up their persistence with the public as well as LE to get some answers and not waiver in their fight for answers and justice, which it sounds like the are doing. My heart goes out to the entire family!
My cousin recommended this blog and she was totally right keep up the fantastic work!
I honestly disagree with several things Dan has said. To begin with, I agree that 11 miles up a logging road is a long way to go for someone not considering leaving the woods. The blood in the vehicle, even a minuscule amount could have been useful in determining if it belonged to Keith or not. LE should release that information to the public at large in hopes of helping us help them. As for the vehicle being locked and the keys being left in it, makes me feel that the person that did this either owned the vehicle or had a desire to preserve the vehicle so it could be returned to the family. If it had been someone interested in destroying evidence, they would have left the windows and or doors open so the interior was exposed to the elements. This very well could be the case of a very distraught man who has used up all of his coping skills. I would have focused all of my efforts in the area to locate previously unknown living quarters in the woods and mountains in the area.
