Keith Anderson: Missing, and still no answers.
Keith Anderson: Missing, and still no answers. 03/01/10
Keith A. Anderson was last seen on January 6th driving away in his white 1999 Ford Ranger. Anderson was expected to return late that evening or early the next morning as his son was leaving on an extended trip the next day. According to one family member “Keith would not have missed saying goodbye to his son…he just wouldn’t”.
After a grassroots search party put out flyers from Anacortes to Sultan, Anderson’s truck was found rougly three weeks later on January 24th, 8 miles up a remote logging road on Prairie Sauk road in the Darrington area. Anderson’s keys were found locked inside the truck, and due to the dusting of snow, no footprints were found. The police do not suspect foul play was involved however the Family does not believe Keith would have driven his truck up such a rural road for any reason. The area off of the Prairie-Sauk is thick treacherous terrain. According to a logger who wanted to remain anonymous he states “I’ve hauled from that road several times and the farthest up that road I’ve know a log truck to go is 3 miles, I wouldn’t think a small Ford Ranger could make it up that road 8 miles.” Search and Rescue scoured the area with k-9 units, on horseback, and by foot, for two days and no other clues were found.
What has happened to Keith Anderson, and where he is still remains a mystery. The family is desparate for answers, and is still asking anyone who knows anything to please come forward. Anderson’s family has set up a reward fund that currently has about $800 in it. This reward can be collected if you have information leading directly to the return of Keith Anderson. You may also contribute to this fund in person at any US Bank branch, the account is under the name “Keith Anderson and Family”.
