Who Could You Help?
Here are just a few of the many patients who received blood transfusions in the past few days. The blood was available for them, thanks to donors like you:
- 14 year old patient: Cardiopulmonary bypass. Patient used: 8 units Red Blood Cells and 1 unit Plasma.
- 22 year old patient: Cardiac Arrest. Patient used: 14 units Red Blood Cells, 12 units Plasma, 6 Cryoprecipitate units and 4 units Platelets.
- 37 year old patient: Obstetric bleeding..Patient used: 25 units Red Blood cells, 22 units Plasma, 3 units Platelets and 3 Cryoprecipitate units
- 19 year old patient: Motor Vehicle Accident. Patient used: 14 units Red Blood Cells, 17 units Plasma, and 2 Platelet units.
- 53 year old patient: Heart Transplant. Patient used: 17 units Red Blood Cells, 26 units Plasma, 6 units Platelets and 3 Cryoprecipitate units.
